About AHG Framing Pricing Information
Framing a picture is a very personal undertaking.
Because of that we would like to describe in detail how AHG normally frames images for presentations and to display in various establishments or galleries for the perusal and enjoyment of visitors, customers or patrons.
If you have seen an AHG presentation you will easier be able to visualize the frames we use as I describe them and hopefully be able to make a decision as to the type of frame that appeals to you as a personal preference or that might match your decor.
(framed images will be viewable on this page in the near future)
PREMIUM LUSTER AND SOMERSET VELVET PRINTS: For these media types we normally use a 2 inch wide oval shaped frame either light brown, dark brown, burgundy or black depending on the colors contained in the image. For "black and white" we normally use a black frame, sometimes concaved instead of oval but have found that the dark brown can also work with the image.
These frames are made of either wood or particle board.
"Black and White" images, as an option, look excellent in a black metal frame.
All Premium Luster and Somerset Velvet prints are always framed with acid free materials for longevity using a 2 to 3 inch single white acid free mat border.
CANVAS PRINTS: For canvas prints, after spraying the image with a UV laminate protectant and then stretching the print on canvas stretcher boards, we normally use a museum style (about 4 inches wide) wooden frame detailed and finished in either "black and gold leaf" or "white and gold leaf". Sometimes a cloth liner insert is contained within the frame that resembles the look of a 1 inch mat.
If you would like to purchase a framed print and are unsure of which style to choose or would like the print framed in a different style of your choosing, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss the details to your satisfaction.
